My Story
My name is Danae Yeboah.
When I graduated Teacher's College, I didn't have a clue how to teach a child to read.
Yes...I knew the theories and textbook answers. But having my first class of little eyes staring up at me, waiting for me to connect the dots about reading was terrifying! "Where on earth do I start?!"
Within my first year I started pouring myself into learning all I could about the reading process.
Within 5 years, I became a certified Reading Specialist.
Since then, I've continued to dive deep into the Science of Reading so that I could see faster progress, build up student confidence effectively, and watch students take-off and begin to love reading.
"Conflict-free" has been my goal from the get-go as I know the tension that parents and kids can experience when working together on this very important goal!
